I purchased a Bosch dishwasher and it does not clean the dishes, is noisy (which was a big selling point – how quiet it was) when it works at all. After a big run around from Bosch, bad company to deal with, my machine was still under warranty I brought in a service man that says the computer panel is bad and the door closure is defective. Bosch wanted me to have it repaired when the machine didn’t work right from the start, I contacted them 3 weeks after the dishwasher was installed. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand. I have also written to Consumer Reports because they always rate Bosch well.

This model lacks some of the bells and whistles of more expensive models. What I miss most is the ability to see approximately how long is remaining for the load. However, the savings were worth the trade-off. It also lacks a heated drying cycle, but I would not use that anyway. The dishes come out dry so its presence is not needed.
With adjustable top rack, removable flatware holder, and a section of flip-down tines, there is plenty of customizability to help you maximum loads. Even with moderately hard water, the dishes come out clean with a minimum of spots.
One great feature is the decreased amount of water needed compared to other dishwashers. I have a low-yield water well and running this dishwasher creates no issues.

We’ve had our dishwasher for about 4 months now, and have used nearly everyday. So far it has been quite a nice machine. It holds more dishes than our old one (11 year old Whirlpool), and is amazingly quiet. It is very well insulated and the countertop over it does not get the least bit warm but if I open the dishwasher during the dry cycle it is so hot inside I can barely tolerate the heat. It doesn’t have the traditional heating element in the bottom that many dishwashers have but there’s really nothing inside that heats up yet it is blazingly hot inside.
I love too, how little soap you need to use. And I was able to talk to a Bosch repair tech (we did have to make a call for service but it was not the dishwasher that was the problem. The installers had crimped a water-line and thus blocked the flow of water to the machine. It worked fine when they were standing there testing it, but later, and after they had gone, the water got so hot that the metal mesh wrapped plastic inlet pipe collapsed due to the pressure of the dishwasher resting against it. Once that was fixed it’s been clear sailing). He said to keep it on “auto wash” since it gets the dishes the cleanest and to use only powdered dish detergent as the liquid kind doesn’t always dissolve completely and will eventually clog the drain line.) I’ve been using out of the same box I bought for the old dishwasher and I still have several loads worth left.
The dishes are very clean. I’ve really put it to the test and even stacked dishes on top of each other to a certain extent and they still came out clean. Then just the other day I put in a “Corningware” 4 qt. white ceramic casserole dish and glass lid that my husband used to bake some au gratin potato mixes and he burned them black. After scraping out only the potatoes I chunked the blackened dish and lid in the dishwasher not expecting much but they both came out spotless. All traces of burn were gone! Also, I like that this dishwasher is a “tall tub” and I can now put larger items in the bottom rack and the rotating water sprayer (attached to the underside of the top rack) doesn’t hit anything. Drink pitchers and long-handled kitchen spoons and such stand up nicely in the silverware basket. Just be sure to raise the top rack up so that there will be enough clearance.
The only think I can think of that wasn’t perfectly ideal was the silverware basket. It’s o.k., but on the small/narrowish side and doesn’t hold as much silverware as the basket from the old dishwasher. So, I kept the old basket and am using it and it fits fine in the new dishwasher. Also, take time to read the manual concerning the model you purchased. I sat in the floor in front of the dishwasher and carefully read how to program everything. That was a little tedious and a flow chart would have been helpful, but once it’s done it’s done and you shouldn’t have to go back and re-do anything. And though there is a way to lock out unwanted button presses (small kids just love to press buttons) I haven’t used that option though I would have loved to have had it on the old dishwasher when the kids were younger. Also, don’t try to put too much soap powder into the soap holder or it will not stay shut. It really doesn’t use much soap. And finally, even though it has completed it’s cycle, the lights on the front will not go out unless you push the start/stop button. No big deal, but they will stay on forever if you don’t.
So, so far we have been very pleased with this dishwasher and look forward to many years of use out of it. It also uses much less energy and water (is labeled as a energy efficient unit) than our previous dishwasher.

I purchased the dishwasher 1 month ago to replace a Kenmore dishwasher.
Pros: The dishwasher is very well constructed. The fill, rinse and wash cycles are very quiet. The dishes come out clean with no water spots. Thee dishwasher uses a combination of a very hot rinse cycle and Rinse Aid which results in dry spot free dishes.
